Holy communion will be celebrated on August 22, 2021. Everyone CAN receive communion at First Lutheran. No matter your religious affiliation past or present, your age or gender or race, we welcome you to the Lord’s table to partake in communion with us. We have gluten-free wafers and grape juice for those who have allergies or sensitivities — just ask when you come forward for communion.
If you continue to worship online or via the public access channel for the health and safety of our community members, we know that many people are missing the ability to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion. We believe that the Holy Spirit moves in surprising and unexpected ways. Therefore Holy Communion can be celebrated together during our recorded worship services. We are confident that God is present as we assemble online and will be present in the bread and wine/juice served in this way.
