Everyone CAN receive Holy Communion at First Lutheran. No matter your past or present religious affiliation, we welcome you to Christ’s Table to partake in communion with us. All are welcome - no exceptions! Gluten free bread and grape juice are available as alternatives to regular bread and wine.
Any child may receive communion if their caretaker believes they are ready. We offer a First Communion Class in the spring semester primarily for second graders. For more information about First Communion Class, please contact our Children, Youth, and Family Director, Calleigh Carlson: cc.flcstp@gmail.com If you would like a layperson or the pastor to serve you communion in your home, please contact the church office.
If you choose to worship online or via the Saint Peter Public Access channel, we are confident that God is present as we assemble online and will be present in your own bread and wine/juice served in your home. Check out the bread recipe and the instructional video to prepare your own communion bread!
