COMMITTEE FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE
The Social Justice Committee is responsible for all events and programs related to peace and justice. Issues that may be addressed by this committee include local and global hunger, inadequate housing, racial and economic injustices, LGBTQIA+ injustices, refugee crisis, and violence. This committee also suggests, oversees, and implements ways in which First Lutheran Church as a Reconciling in Christ congregation of the ELCA lives out its Reconciling in Christ statement. All work will be done through building relationships with and engaging in partnerships with nonprofits who share interests.
